360* Trailer View

360 Camera for Trucks, Buses and Other Heavy Vehicles

OVERVIEW

THE MAX-SAFE 360° TRAILERVIEW SYSTEM™ IS AN ADVANCED 360 DEGREE VEHICLE CAMERA SYSTEM GIVING DRIVERS OF TRAILERS AND ARTICULATED VEHICLES COMPLETE VISIBILITY OF THEIR VEHICLE AND SURROUNDS.

The MAX-SAFE 360° TrailerView System gives transport and logistics drivers an unprecedented tool to improve the safe operation of their vehicle and their delivery pick-ups and drop-off.

By providing an aerial view of their trailer, they can see what would normally be “unseen” from the driver’s seat, thereby protecting people and property.

Human error while driving heavy vehicles can happen– particularly with blindspots – leading to personal injury accidents and property damage.

Ultimately this helps improve driver efficiency via shorter turnarounds and downtimes, lowers repair and damage costs, and reduces the risk that comes with operating larger vehicles.

MAX-SAFE 360° TrailerView System greatly facilitates vehicle operations in critical situations such as: dense city traffic, narrow loading areas, and reversing along one-way laneways.

The system also enhances safety when a vehicle is standing still, as it can be configured to be permanently active. This means that even while parked, the driver can keep an eye on the vehicle and the surroundings just by glancing at the monitor. The system complies with Australian Design Rules (National Standards for Vehicle Safety).

Our MAX-SAFE 360° TrailerView System can be incorporated into new fleet builds or retro-fitted to individual trailer vehicles. They can also be coupled with other MAX-SAFE solutions like Audible Warning.

MAKING OUR ROADS AND WORKPLACES SAFER

The Transport and Logistic sectors are big and vital industries in both Australia and New Zealand which is why this safety innovation is such a key aid to the industry.

In Australia, freight vehicles make up 20.4% of all vehicles travelling on Australian roads, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics. This equates to 4 million freight vehicles. Of these, 104,442 are articulated trucks.

In New Zealand, more than 90% of freight (in terms of volume/ton) is transported by road, with the industry employing 108,000 workers in 2020, which is 4% of the New Zealand workforce.

By making blind spots and hazards around a semi-trailer visible to a driver, 360-degree vehicle camera systems like the MAX-SAFE 360° TrailerView help save lives and prevent damage to vehicles and property.

HOW THE MAX-SAFE TRAILERVIEW SYSTEM WORKS

The MAX-SAFE 360° TrailerView System comprises four 360° cameras that are positioned on the top of a trailer to capture a live, streaming view of the vehicle’s surrounds in all directions.

Using advanced technology and stitching images of the cameras together, the system provides a meaningful 360° top-down view on one single screen in the cabin of the vehicle.

This enables drivers to see beyond what appears in direct vision or mirrors. It reduces blind spots-and displays any people and objects in the immediate vicinity, thus increasing safety – making 360-degree vehicle camera systems an important addition to any semi-trailer.

Additionally, the system lets drivers focus in on any one of the four camera’s views to see objects close to a vehicle. This is a tremendous aid in any reversing situation.
