The MAX-SAFE Audible Warning™ system is either provided standalone, or as an optional extra for all of our MAX-SAFE products.
It allows for human voice recorded messages to be played, based on particular programmed events. Being a human voice with a focused message, it is much more effective than a buzzer going off. The product can be used to play messages within the cabin to the driver, and/or messages can be played externally to persons outside of the vehicle.
The advantage of having an audible warning is the warning can provide specific information about the risk, protecting vulnerable road users.
The MAX-SAFE Audible Warning™ system is a combined hardware (speaker) and software solution. Up to 2 speakers can be mounted on the left-hand side of the vehicle. Messages can be pre-recorded and installed as part of the vehicle’s software and programmed to trigger during certain vehicle actions.
For example, when the vehicle’s left side indicator is pressed, it can automatically play the audio: “Warning, truck turning left. Keep clear.” Cyclists and pedestrians will hear the spoken warning and be aware they need to move to the side, so as to not be in the danger zone of the left turning vehicle. The message automatically switches off once the vehicle turns, and indicator resets.
